Our mission, through the “Forests & Meadows”, is to revive the traditions in our creative practice and to inspire others to embark on this journey and discover the art of natural dyeing.
THE ART OF NATURAL DYEING
Natural dyeing stands as a testament to early human ingenuity, a pioneering biotechnology where vibrant hues are sourced from nature's treasures — be it plants, fungi, lichens, insects, mollusks, or even minerals. These color secrets, unearthed and harnessed over centuries or even millennia, have been passed down and refined by skilled artisans through the ages. Their mastery in dyeing has given rise to stories of luxurious colors that continue to inspire awe and admiration today.
Throughout my creative journey, I've discovered various techniques, which I'm eager to share during my workshops and at the 'Forests & Meadows' learning center.
