Order processing

All orders for ready-to-ship items are usually processed and shipped within 1-3 business days. Please note that we may not be able to ship orders during national or international holidays.

For made-to-order items, the production time is typically 1-2 weeks, unless a different timeframe is specified in the item's description or has been agreed upon through a private conversation. We aim to provide you with the most accurate delivery expectations for each item.

Buyer's Address and Contact Information

It is crucial for the buyer to provide a complete and accurate shipping address along with contact information, including an email address.

This information is essential to facilitate smooth shipping and delivery, including notifications from your local postal service regarding the delivery status.

In case of any issues during shipping, such as a missing house number, incorrect postal code, or similar concerns, we may contact you via email for resolution.


At Forests and Meadows, we are doing our best to ensure safe shipping and keep it as sustainable as possible.

For natural dyeing supplies, we use doy-pack bags with a zip-lock so you can keep your materials safe and use these bags for a long time (just keep them away from water). These bags also have a paper label with the name and weight of the item.

Whenever possible, we use certified home compostable bags. You may add them to your compost pile, use them to collect compostable materials, etc. Most of these bags are suitable for re-use - simply cut along the marked line.

Also, we use strong recycled bags made from plastic found in oceans. Most of these bags are suitable for re-use - simply cut along the marked line.

Occasionally we ship large orders in carton boxes. We may also use carton boxes for natural dyeing kits. Please reuse such boxes for storage or shipping your own packages when possible.

We use packing tape only when it’s necessary. We use compostable packing tape when possible.

We do not overload our packages with unnecessary business cards, flyers, labels, packaging papers or other things. Let’s admit - all these things are very beautiful to look at while unpacking your long awaited parcel, but eventually they are thrown away. Therefore they are a waste of resources and money.

Occasionally we may add a postcard or a little gift for larger orders but we always make sure to select something that our buyer may like based on what they ordered.

Shipping carriers

For most of our packages, we use our local shipping service, Lithuanian post. We have been using this carrier for 8 years, and right now, they offer the best balance between quality and price.

We may use express shipping by couriers such as DPD, FedEx, DHL. The usual prices for this shipping option are as follows:

  • DPD within Europe: 13-20 euros. Prices may be different depending on your location and the size of the package. Delivery time is 3-8 days.

  • FedEx everywhere else: 25-35 euros. Prices may be different depending ot your location and the size of the package. Delivery time is 3-8 days.

  • DHL: 25-55 euros. Prices may be different depending on your location and the size of the package. Delivery time is 2-5 days.

Please contact us if you wish to use the express shipping option and don’t see it during the check-out.

Usual Delivery Times:

  • Lithuania: 2-5 business days.

  • European Union: 1-2 weeks.

  • Other countries in Europe: 1-3 weeks.

  • United States: 1-3 weeks.

  • Canada: 2-5 weeks.

  • Central and South America: 3-6 weeks.

  • Japan, South Korea: 2-3 weeks.

  • Everywhere else: 3-6 weeks.

While most packages arrive on time, and tracking provides accurate information, please note that occasional delays may occur due to various reasons such as heavy storms, snow, traffic issues, strikes, or simple human errors. Additionally, delivery times may be extended around Christmas due to the increased volume of packages.

If you haven't received your package within the specified timeframes, please contact your local post office with the tracking number and inquire about the package's status. Customs and import taxes

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. We are not responsible for delays due to customs.

Informed Purchases

Buyers are accountable for understanding the regulations and import policies applicable in their respective countries when acquiring items from our store, including dye plant seeds, natural dyes, mordants, and additives. If uncertain about the permissibility of importing these items into your country, kindly seek guidance from local authorities and their websites.

If you placed an order on our shop and later found out you are not permitted to import such items, please see the section 'Returns, Refunds & Cancellations'.
