Calcium Hydroxide (lime) is one of the essential ingredients for indigo vat and is most commonly used for ferrous vat or 1-2-3 fructose vat.

Form: white powder

Safety: safe to use but do not ingest. It is a fine powder so it is recommended to wear protective gloves and a face mask while handling the powder

Purpose: commonly used as an alkaline in some indigo recipes
